Artist Bio
Deanna Gibson loves to create. Although her work gravitates towards photography, she explores painting, crafting, clothing design, interior decorating and window dressing.
Deanna earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Illinois University and has held various creative design and photography positions in the music, entertainment and real estate sectors.
Deanna founded and operated Vanide Inc., a successful commercial photography business for 10 years. Vanide’s work was featured on tv, in magazines, books and countless websites. In 2015 Deanna changed her focus to her personal artwork and raising her daughters with a love of life and art. They are covered in paint, glitter, plaster, feathers and fabric from head to toe right along with their mother. Deanna lives in Wayne, IL with her husband, Mike, daughters Mina and Dominique, and Shabaka a 30lbs F2 Savannah!

Statement about Artwork
The woman is this photograph is a singer, performer and dancer, what the industry calls a triple threat. I have photographed her for years and yet never photographed her authentic self. She always performed. This was the only moment that I ever really captured her. In that one moment she said yes. She said yes to her life, she said yes being herself, she said yes to every person she met, every joy, every sadness, every laugh, every embarrassment, she said yes to her spirit, she said yes to her soul, she said yes to living. It flitted away like a hummingbird, but in that one click I felt like I saw a unicorn. I share this image with you and hope you say yes.
